"Do ya know the Bible?" - New Song!
A brand new song for you - and it's a goody!
"Do ya know the Bible?" is a "Bible" song that'll have you dancing in the aisles (or demurely swaying a little in the pews). We've been singing this in school assemblies (ages 7-11) and the kids have been loving it - especially with the actions.
I was struck by Jesus saying to the Sadducees: "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God!" (Matthew 22:29) Eeek! Do we know them? That's what this song is about!
The chorus picks up on Jesus' teaching about His Word (Matthew 4:4, 7:24-25), and then the verses include the wonderful teaching in 2 Timothy 3:14-17.
Style-wise, it's Rock 'n' Roll! I can't stop singing it - hope you enjoy it too!

This is fresh from our Summer Holiday Club 2010, and it's a "Bible-Overview Meets John 3:16" song!

The idea behind the Song is the Bible's teaching about the Kingdom of God as: "God's People in God's Place under God's Rule and Blessing" - something you can trace from Genesis to Revelation.

New Song - It's Treasure!
Knowing Jesus is the greatest treasure ever - and you can sing all about it with this brand new song.
"It's treasure" is based on Matthew 13:44-45 (the parables of the hidden treasure, and the pearl), and Philippians 3:8-10 (the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus!).

If you're involved in a (Northern Hemisphere) Summer Club of some kind, you might need some inspiration in your planning...It won't surprise you to hear that most of the songs on the Jukebox were written for our summer club here - and some of them have four verses to match four themes...

This song has been 'brewing' for six months now - I wrote it on holiday in France, inspired by Isaiah 53:6, and a pop song about a boy who doesn't do any washing up...(!!!)
It's very up-beat, which might surprise you for Isaiah 53:6, but I figure that (a) it's GREAT NEWS, and (b) we want to REMEMBER this bible verse, so... let's dance!
Anyway - it's a good song for Easter, or any other time of year. The kids will love it, and I don't think you'll get it out of your head for a while...
