Easter Idea - 53v6
What's going on at Easter? Why did Jesus have to die?
These are the kind of questions Children want to know, and Sunday School teachers want to help them with!
God explains it all through the Old Testament, and one very special place is in Isaiah, chapter 53, verse 6: "We all, like sheep, have gone astray; we've turned, each one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all"
But what is "iniquity"? And who is "Him"? This song explains!

It was a GOOD Friday!
Strange really - it was Bad, it was Mad, and it was Sad - but all in all, it was a GOOD day for all of us. The day that Jesus died on the Cross, Good Friday. That's the wonder of Easter - and that's what the song Good Friday is all about.
It's from Mark 15:33-39, with the darkness, Jesus' cry, and the centurion's words. It's great for kids of age 5 and upwards, and even the grown-ups enjoy it!

Holiday Club Songs for Children
Maybe you can run a Holiday Club this year?
What kind of club are you planning? Summer Holiday clubs, VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, Summer Camp, CPAS Pathfinder Ventures - whatever it is, children's Bible songs that are good for Sunday School are also great for holiday clubs! We've got lots of great songs: songs that help the kids hear and remember the Bible, songs to jump around to, songs the kids won't forget, most of all: songs about Jesus!
Some of my songs were written specially for our holiday club here, and so they've got four verses to match four daily themes... Here's a list of some of the themed songs, in case you need some inspiration:
- "Galilee", and "Click! He's the image" to go with it - Jesus by the sea of Galilee
- "Go lets Go!" and "Paul Paul" - Paul's life and journeys
- "Rocky's Road", and "If I was Peter" for Peter and Jesus
- "Jesus has a Party" and "Party Party" and "Luke 19v10 (Seek and save the lost)" for a "Parties..." theme
It hasn't got themed verses, but "God has a plan" was great for the "Bible Overview" theme we did.
