What's going on with Maynard's Groovy Bible Tunes, from day to day...
Here are the last dates you can order CDs from the store, to fall within the Royal Mail recommended posting dates for Christmas Delivery:
Australia & NZ: | Sunday 4th December |
USA & Canada: | Tuesday 6th December |
UK: | Saturday 17th December |
Yes - it's happening tomorrow!
Maynard and I are getting very excited. We've practised everything, got all the equipment together (nearly), and now we're just waiting for the party to happen! No snow hopefully this time.
See you there! (If you're going to be there!)
I really should have done this before Christmas, but - well - better late than never!
I've written a new song, which I haven't published yet, called "Glory to God in the highest". It covers some major Christmas events - Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Wise Men - and says "God, you're great!" because of them.
Style-wise, it's folky. Not sure how that'll go down with the kids, but I'll try it! Trouble is - I've got to wait a while now before I can try it... Oh well! Plenty of time to get the recording right.
I'll let you know when its on the website.
This Children's Christmas Carol has been really popular this year - loads of people are searching for it, loads are downloading it as PDF sheet music, and as an MP3 file. I hope you're enjoying it - here are the links you need if you want to listen, or get hold of it:
Listen to "Hush! There's a baby..." :: Get the PDF Sheet Music of "Hush! There's a baby..." :: Get the MP3 Download of "Hush! There's a baby..." :: Watch the YouTube vid of "Hush! There's a baby..." :: Other Christmas Songs on the Jukebox :: Other Christmas Songs / Carols in the Store
I'm working hard towards a new CD - 14 songs that haven't been on a 'major' CD before (one or two have appeared on the Easter / Christmas compilation CDs) - and every song is either a new recording or a re-mix with better software (& techniques).
As part of this process, "It was dark" (based on Genesis 1, the first creation account) has been remixed. It was one of my better recordings anyway, but I think I've improved it! You can listen on the jukebox - and the new version is in the store.
The new store version is a 320kbps version (or 384kbps if you get the .wma file). What does that mean? It means there's more data per second, so a better sound. I'm working towards all the store downloads being at this rate.
