What's going on with Maynard's Groovy Bible Tunes, from day to day...
Work in progress - "Forgiveness!"
I'm working on a new song about forgiveness.
It started off based on Isaiah 1:18, but I just couldn't get the chorus to work - until I came up with the current chorus. But then Isaiah 1:18 had gone, and Acts 10:43 had got into my head. Not quite as poetic, but great stuff!
This vid is from a quick recording of me + guitar, and the final recording will be quite different - same tune and (almost all the) words (a couple have changed already as I've listened).
EDIT: it's now finished, here's the completed video instead:

New song on its way... Come on let us sing (Psalm 95)
Loving this one, don't know when I'll get a chance to record it, but here are the words:
Come on let us sing for joy and shout out to the Lord
He's the Rock of our Salvation: shout out to the Lord
Come before Him with thanksgiving: shout out to the Lord
Make some music, sing a song and shout out to the Lord!
For the Lord is the great great God
and He's the creator of the ends of the earth,
if you dig down deep or you climb up high:
He made it all!
So if you hear His voice today,
don't run away, no don't run away,
just trust in Him and worship Him:
Shout to the Lord, shout out to the Lord today!

The tune? Inspired by the Vaccines and Spector... (guess who's got teenage kids now?)
When will I record it? Dunno - probably after Easter, sorry!

Hooray! Finished! (For now...)
And I've re-done the track as well, with star singer Katie on it too. Have a listen - go on!
Shame I was too late for Valentine's day - still, next year...!
It's love - nearly done!
"It's love" is nearly ready - in fact I've uploaded the track already, and I'm working on the sheet music. You can listen here: www.maynardsgroovytunes.co.uk/jukebox/itslove
