{In the UK we have Harvest Festivals in our churches, thanking God for the end of Harvest, towards the end of September. These days children's food is quite distanced from the wheat that grows in the fields. This song expresses that, but rejoices that Jesus has sovereign involvement in all our food nonetheless.}

Jesus, you didn't make
my sandwiches.
The supermarket's
where I get my jam.
But everything I eat,
every yummy scrummy treat:
Your creating power
is where it all began!

Jesus I won't ask you
for an ice cream;
I'd better get my cookies
from a shop.
But bananas grow on trees,
Jesus you provide the breeze,
and the sunshine
and the rain for the whole lot!

Jesus you're the one
behind the Harvest;
it's because of you that
there are crops to reap.
O thank you that it's true,
that we all depend on you-
Thank you Jesus
that you give us food to eat!
